The Wallaby has lots of pockets. What
are they for?
Basically, the pockets hold the JP drain bulbs.
There is a hidden slit with Velcro inside each
pocket that allows you to slip the bulb and
tubing from your body through the slit into the
nearest pocket, then you pat the Velcro around
the tubing to hold it in place.
A patent is pending on The Wallaby design
because it’s a unique way to ease the discomfort
and inconvenience of drain management. One
painful part of having these JP drains is the
constant movement and pulling on the site where
the tubing exits the body. The Velcro in the
pocket is there to minimize this. Additionally,
the bulbs just slip right into the pocket and
are easily accessible to check or empty,
meanwhile keeping all tubing, bulbs, and bodily
fluids out of sight. |
